Accountability, Support and a Partner

 Choosing to be accountable in this area of your life can be an uncomfortable, even intimidating idea. It doesn’t have to be.  Our group coaching sessions provide a supportive, non-judgmental community to help you learn the skills necessary to better manage your weight and health. ​

We bring caring, humor and heart to the process of supporting you to make the hard decisions that come along with losing weight.  


In each weekly session we: ​

  • Help you challenge assumptions that may be limiting you​
  • Support you to push outside your comfort zone to elevate your process ​
  • Partner with you to develop and practice the skills necessary to achieve the results you want  ​


Our group sessions involve like-minded people working on the same task: lifestyle change and improved quality of life.  Weight loss is a wonderful benefit, but it’s one of many different health and quality of life benefits you’ll experience. ​

RESEARCH SUPPORT

Published Research Supports Coaching and Frequent Attendance

A summary of 47 studies found group coaching produces ​superior outcomes compared to one-on-one coaching.   (J Nutr Food Science 2016, 6:5)


​ A study of over one million dieters found that  high attenders lost weight three times faster than those who attended less frequently.    (BMC Public health (2015) 15:882)​  


Regular session attendance increased the use of behavioral strategies and was linked to improved behavioral outcomes.    (Obesity (2014) 22, 1002-1007.)


A meta-analysis of studies from 2004-2015​ found that attendance  (e.g., group sessions) had the biggest impact on behavioral adherence.  (Patient Preference and Adherence 2016:10 1547-1559​)
